DEVELOPING YOUNG WOMEN OF CHARACTER & BEAUTY

In a world of falling standards, young ladies (middle school and high school age) are learning good manners, modesty, and morals at Gracefull Girls Retreats.  Using tried and true principles, attendees discover beauty and character that never go out of style!  Girls also enjoy creative interactions, boat rides, nature walks, and movie time! 

During this weekend retreat, girls will discover:

     Self-Confidence and Outward Beauty - PRIM
  • How sense of significance and beauty are developed
  • Reflecting self-worth through attitude, actions and outward appearance
  • God's desire for our purity
  • Modest fashions and age-appropriate makeup tips
     Good Manners - PROPER
  • Classy communication skills - in person and online
  • Table settings and how to use them
  • Respect for parents, others and self

     God's Value for Us - PRICELESS!

  • How today's choices can have lifelong consequences 
  • God's design and purpose for our lives
  • Making the most important decision of our lives - to follow Christ!

Retreat Location:

  • Your Preference:  Arrangements can be made to host a retreat in the location of your choice (individual's home, church or retreat center) for as many girls as needed.  Contact Gracefull Ministries to schedule event and establish fees, inclusions, and responsibilities.
  • Gracefull Home:  Up to six girls and two chaperones can be hosted in Jerra Dooley's home (located on the lake in Saddlelake Farms, Alabaster, AL) 

Schedule:

  • Your Preference:  Determined by church or group leader
  • Gracefull Home:  6:00pm Friday to Sunday at 9:00am (early pickup) or Noon (after worship at Valleydale Church) 

Fees:   

  • Your Preference:  Determined by mutual agreement between church/group leader and Gracefull Ministries
  • Gracefull Home:  $100 per young lady ($25 deposit due with registration)  $50 for each chaperone

  • Lodging, linens, & towels (if applicable)

Things You'll Need:
  • Parent's Permission & Medical Release (See Registration Form)
  • Bible (helpful but not required)
  • Comfortable and modest daywear
  • If staying overnight, full coverage sleepwear and personal hygiene items (hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, makeup, blow dryer)
  • Camera (fun but not required)
  • Cell phones allowed (with restrictions)

Retreat Reservations   (See Calendar>) 

  • Book Your Preference Location>  - Sign up with a group of friends from your school, neighborhood, civic club, church, etc., to be held at the location of your preference (individual's home, church or retreat center).
  • MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR GRACEFULL HOME NOW>
    • "Open Retreat" - Come on your own and meet new friends (all from same age-group, middle school or high school)
    • "Closed Retreat" -  sign up with a group of friends (age 12 and up)
    • A deposit of $25 is required to hold this reservation

Cancellations for Gracefull Home Retreat:

We understand that sometimes plans have to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances and we want to be as accomodating as possible should this happen.  If you must cancel a reservation, we offer a full refund of the deposit if the cancellation occurs 14 or more days away from the retreat date.  Cancellations made less than 14 days out will be given a credit for monies paid toward a new retreat date or the option of losing the deposit.
